"Where Are You From?" is a three-minute performance of profound intensity, presented within the living room of the NOIRES home as part of the larger installation. Roxane Mbanga delivers the performance to a diverse audience. The curtains of braided hair serve as a symbolic barrier, separating the artist from the audience, challenging and breaking the white gaze to reclaim power and agency.
